Let’s do the time warp again

Eclipse season…amirite? I love a good retrograde or eclipse…and…it’s uncomfortable as hell. This one is no exception, this week in particular. It’s as if we are truly in a twilight zone or time warp where there’s a lag in space and time. It’s kind of like we’re an apple tree and the universe is shaking us to see which apples fall. They’re meant to…the vibe is to literally do less, take less action, do the bare minimum and engage more in active listening with the universe/guides/ancestors/god/source/creator.

Sometimes it can feel like we’re on repeat e.g. release what no longer serves us, and set intentions toward what we do want. Well, yes, with a little different flavor from cycle to cycle, that’s the work. I find that the deeper I get into the work, sometimes it’s harder to “find” what doesn’t serve me, even though it’s staring at me.

For instance, my husband and I are experiencing a beautiful transformation, and I found myself holding on to the “old” marriage, that is, the foundation that we built before we began our individual work. I spent much of the Full Moon this weekend releasing my reliance on what got us to this exact point in time. It can feel strange to say “I release” when it’s still something that you want so try to be specific - “I release the old patterns of marriage that no longer construct where my partner and I are now”.

That’s the ask this week, its’s not that you can’t manifest or can’t set intentions, but also know that when we’re in eclipse season, the energy is a little tornado-ey…so your manifestations and intentions could end up in the wind somewhere. Don’t be intention-less, but just be aware of any expectations that you have around your work.

This is a time of karmic clean up, or the “perfect shit” as Sabrina Lynn from ReWilding says. What is your perfect shit, the unfolding that wasn’t fun or cute but that had to happen for you to be entering into your soul calling, your mission here? Is any part of your energy still leaky towards the shit? How can you clean that up? And without judgement?

A good “how” for this is to get into a comfy chair, put on some of your favorite tunes (or silence), and create 3 columns on a sheet of paper - label the first column “love that for me”, label the second column, “meh for me”, and label the third column, “that’s a hard pass for me”. Allow yourself to have no other rules than to trust your gut or heart feeling when you go through a week in the life of you. Set a timer (so that you don’t have time to talk yourself out of the no’s) and have at it.

Try not to overthink it and write down the first things that come to mind when you feel into yes/no/maybe for your daily life as it relates to what lights you up.

Don’t be surprised (or maybe it’s glaringly obvious) if the way you earn a living doesn’t light you up or falls into the “meh”. Sigh…this is the collective’s work right now as we shift into the new paradigm of extending more importance on “being” rather than “doing”. As we shift into less, rather than more… as we completely change the way we meet life in contrast to the only way we’ve been taught and/or feel comfortable in.

So, what do you do with this information? Chances are there’s nothing that seems easy right away for you to change about the no column…that’s ok - and again, because eclipse season, you’re meant to simply excavate it and then sit with it. The awareness right now is enough, allow that to be true.

The more you can practice asserting discernment in your daily life, the more you’ll be able to build awareness and patterns around how you feel both from physical, and also energetically on the inside from day to day.

That’s the ask. What is your true north? Who are you, in your true north?
